Hi I´ve got these error msg with cvg slideshow widget after updte to v1.7:
Warning: escapeshellarg() has been disabled for security reasons in /wp-content/plugins/cool-video-gallery/lib/core.php on line 1383
Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /bloga/wp-content/plugins/cool-video-gallery/lib/core.php on line 1384
Thanks for a great plugin. I just updated and all of my text descriptions are gone.
When I went in to manage, I notice there is a second text box. Why did you change this?
Now I have to manually fix 100 video descriptions.
May I know what you mean by text descriptions are gone? Are you not able to find that in Manage Page in second text box?
The first text box is for Video Title. As part of v1.7, title will be shown below each video. Description comes when popup comes up. You could always modify the codebase according to your requirement.
The title box only allows a few characters, is this changeable?
All of my text from 1.6 became descriptions and had to be cut down to fit in the limited title box.
Consider making the title longer, or am I really missing something?
Sorry to inform that title cannot be replaced with Description. You could modify the source code to get back the desired functionality. I could guide you through this if required. But on future updates you will face the same issue.
Can the block be made bigger?
Now it is less informative as you can see in my gallery at http://www.marketus.com.
Please go this file
Line no: 1587
Change the line
$current_video_title = isset($video->video_title) ? $video->video_title : "";
$current_video_title = isset($video->description) ? $video->description : "";
Let me know if you need more details.
I'm not able to reproduce the issue mentioned above. There is no change in ffmpeg as part of v1.7. Please check if your server details have changed by your host provider.
In order to make the block larger, you need to do two things.
1. Go to cool-video-gallery>admin>gallery-details.php, Line no: 438. Remove the size parameter.
2. Change the database field type in cvg_videos table for field video_title from varchar(20) to longtext.
Hi Praveen, thanks for response.
My server stats haven´t change. I haven´t ffmpeg support. If i use v1.6 version, plugin works correctly...
I found out an error while writing this message, and I had to start again...
I created a Gallery and it has the ú letter (as it says "Público"). I realized that the videos played perfectly with Google Chrome and not with Firefox (because the folder was created with an ú). This may help you to improve the code.
And another thing, I uploaded a skin for the video player, but I can't see it, I'm not sure if it is a bug or if it is my mistake. It's name is Nacht.
Congratulations, you are in the right path!
Thanks for your great plugin. I have security issues when trying to display youtube videos - Do you have any suggestions how to get around the PHP settings on my server (closed for security reasons)?
allow_url_fopen : Not enabled (Required for Youtube video addition)
Any advice is appreciated! =)
I created "Contenido público" and it added a folder with the same name( wp-content/uploads/video-gallery/Contenido-público ) I went to the mySQL table
wp_cvg_gallery and I changed the path to wp-content/uploads/video-gallery/Contenido-publico without changing the name of title or galdesc, I also changed the name of the folder by ftp and now It's working the way I wanted in firefox as well :)
Sorry, I sent it again by mistake.
Thanks for the information on Gallery name with special charas.
May I know whether you followed the exact steps as mentioned in admin panel to upload skin?
Please contact your server hosting provider to enable the same.
May I know a few details like where you are getting this warning and what are the steps followed.
Hi, I really like your plugin but since upgrading I am having the following issue. Every time I publish or edit a post I receive a white page with this error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/myusername/mysite/wp-content/plugins/cool-video-gallery/lib/core.php:1680) in /home/myusername/mysite/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876
It still publishes the post/updates the post but you have to click the back button to leave the white error page. This happens with every post.
Could you please assist? I have 10 8 staffers posting to my site and it is very frustrating for all of them. I don't want to have to deactivate the mod but I may have to if it can't be fixed.
Thank you, Raina
Could you try deactivating other plugins and just enable CVG and see if this issue is there. In my dev environment, I'm not able to reproduce this issue.
I realized I forgot to add -skin at the end of the folder. It works great. I have to be more careful when I read. :D
I'm using CVG 1.7 on the WordPress 3.5 release with a Graphene theme. It appears that CVG is conflicting with the Graphene's presentation page Slider. whereas the latter stops working (freezes) when the former is running. I've confirmed this by disabling all plugins, and 1-by-1 re-activating them. All works fine with the Slider until CVG is re-activated. I tried several times on different browsers. Same problem.
Every time I go to add a YouTube video I get the following:
Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in /home/secondcc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cool-video-gallery/lib/youtube.php on line 38
I started getting this on line 39 about 2 weeks ago on 1.6. I just updated to 1.7 today and now the error is on line 39. This has something to do with the yahoo/mrss object.
May I know the exact problem you face when CVG is enabled. What is the error you are getting?
May I know what is the input you gave for adding the video. Could you provide me with the Youtube Video URL.
1. No error message per se, just the slider stops functioning.
2. Upon inspection, it only happens with "Playlist" option on CVG.
3. Other play modes work fine.
I've also run into two other problems.
1. For a single Add Video procedure, I cannot seem to successfully add videos to a newly-created gallery or an existing one.
2. On the addition of multiple videos (comma-delimited), I initially received an error. My apologies for not capturing the error code. I thought it was some fluke and tried again thinking it would happen again if problematic. I was not able to add, but did not receive an error message. Nothing. Just didn't work.
The background on these latter problems might be linked to my actions. At one point, I grew tired of the freezing home page slider problem. It was important because my slider presents various article titles/graphics. My thinking was to find another plug-in. I decided try a couple, but then decided to return to CVG. In the interim, I renamed directories (galleries, songs) and deleted the plugin. After deciding to try CVG again with a fresh copy, I loaded and placed data back where they were initially. Those older galleries are running fine.
BTW - the new songs I want to load are here: 0stBskMOeiQ,J4v5IXbEauM,7YWaZayvJ1A
I was able to add the three videos mentioned here. Please check the admin overview panel status for each settings for CVG.
After creating a gallery and then going to the manage galleries I get the following error.
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in C:\wamp\www\amateur\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\cool-video-gallery\lib\video-db.php on line 75
I am using wp version 3.5 with v1.7 cool video gallery
May I know the title for the gallery added. And is that shown in the manage galleries admin page?
Gallery = Sermons
I just tried it again and I now see that there is a hyphen(-) preceding the video id that I had missed. It seems to work fine.
I should be OK now.
