    Cannot upload Media

    Cannot convert categories/tags

    RSS inop.

I dont remember what else, any help with these. Site is somewhat useless right now! Thank You n advance.

  2. Need more info.

Go double-check your media upload setting under Super Admin -> Options.
Did you make the REQUIRED changes to the htaccess file like the big yellow notice said to?

    Cannot convert categories/tags

    Can you be more specific?

    RSS inop.

How is it inoperable? Just one feed, all of them? some of them? Are they down completely or do you get an error? If you DO get an error what does it say?

Did you disable your plugins and see if any of the issues go away?

OK, here s the contents of my htaccess file:

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/browsecat/(.+)/(.+) /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=browsecat&category_id=$1 [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/showad/(.+)/(.+) /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=showad&id=$1 [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/placead /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=placead [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/browseads /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=browseads [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/searchads /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=searchads [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/editad /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=editad [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/paypal /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=paypal [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/paypalthankyou/(.+) /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=paypalthankyou&i=$1 [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/cancelpaypal/(.+) /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=cancelpaypal&i=$1 [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/2checkout /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=2checkout [QSA,L]
    RewriteRule ^berean-classifieds/contact/(.+)/(.+) /?pagename=berean-classifieds&a=contact&i=$1 [QSA,L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>
    # END WordPress

So i am a little confused as to what to change or if i should just add the lne or what.

as far as the RSS, it is all of them.

Part of the problem wth the Feeds was that the page was not formatted properly when went to vew it n a browser, i found this was caused by Google Chrome,

but also am not seeing updates to friendfeed or twitter or anythng else that should be updated. also in my dashboard it says the feed has timed out:

RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Operation timed out with 2835 out of -1 bytes received

  5. So i am a little confused as to what to change or if i should just add the lne or what.

I'm a little confused as to why half of the rewrite rules that were there for MU are not there now.

If you were on MU, your htaccess should have looked like this:
    http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/htaccess.dist

    with the BASE being"/"

and the one change you needed on upgrade, detailed here:
    http://wpmututorials.com/how-to/upgrading-from-wpmu-to-wp-3-0/

When I look at that feed in firefox, it's fine.

I disabled all plugins and RSS seems to be working now, am activatng 1 at a tme to find the issue.

stll need help wth htaccess, please

  8. Create a text file like you did before. Call it .htaccess with the dot in front and no extension.

Or, if you have cpanel, you can tell it to show hidden files and edit it directly on the server.

If that still doesn't work, ask your webhost. tell them you need to update your htaccess file.

OK, i have godaddy as my hosting, i just added a second WP 3.0 install via their installer, i am not seeing an .htaccess file.

now that i have done that, i just remembered the .htaccess file i have on the first install was added by me when i switched from windows hosting to Linux.

No, becasue the upgrade message told you specifically to remove it.
