Issue with wp-admin/install.php (5 posts)

I'm trying to install locally. Everything has gone smoothly until attempting to view wp-admin/install.php. I get this:

I have Apache, MySQL and the latest version of PHP installed. I'm using the XAMPP control panel. I've tried to install WordPress before, but I got rid of it and cannot find any residual files or databases that might be tripping it up. Anyone have an idea of what I should try next?

    Thanks so much. I'm lost.

Actually, PHP is not running on that local server.
Why do you have localhost/localhost as address?

Well leave WordPress out of the equation.

Try the script at Finding_Server_Info to see if PHP is working correctly.

I'm having a similar problem. However, this is my first time using WordPress, and I'm pretty sure my server has the latest PHP. But I still get gibberish - see screen cap:

Aaaand, here is my PHP info: http://www.kefsj.net/testphp.php

    As per instructions here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Finding_Server_Info

Help, please and thank you :]
