• Greetings,
I’m the site admin for http://www.omicronxilambda.org using WP 3.9.2. I upgraded back in May 2014, but didn’t realize until now that when I try to edit the homepage, there is nothing visible when the Visual tab is selected. I can only see the HTML code via the Text tab.
I’ve been reading through the forums and there seem to be varies resolutions, so, out of respect, started my own thread to focus on trying to resolve this. I am going to be going through the media files and see if there’s anything over 5MB. But, how am I able to tell if there’s any errors being logged to see if that’s a start? Where to start? How to backup and such. Interested in any ideas and steps to perform. I’m somewhat of a novice but do have the expertise in getting around the databases and such. Just haven’t had much experience with backend WordPress.

    Thanks,
Haywood – Kansas City, MO, USA

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
