Support » Plugin: jQuery Pin It Button for Images » Issue with Linked page option under Visual Settings

  • I have the “Linked page” option checked, intending for it to link to the individual post associated with a pinned image rather than whatever category page the image has been pinned from, but my test pins are all linking to the category pages instead (or the home page, depending). This is on a password-protected development site, not sure if that matters? I would like to resolve the issue before the client asks me to or at least before implementing on the production site, if possible.

Not much I can do to help without seeing the actual website with the plugin activated.

I have moved this to the live site and it’s still acting the same. The site is http://alphamom.com/

    Hi,

basically, the plugin depends heavily on the structure of html, so in this case it won’t work properly.

You can edit the JavaScript file, find the line where class jpibfi_container is added and change it so it will be added to a div that holds the entire excerpt (with the thumbnail). After that, it should work just fine.

Alternatively, you can hire me to prepare an extension to fix that problem on the mentioned website.
