Immediately after updating to WP 3.5, there are 2 issues that I have already noticed.

    Creating HyperLinks-
In both chrome & IE, when trying to create hyperlinks, the screen grays out, dialogue box drops to the bottom left hand corner of the screen. If you try to hit cancel, or even attempt to add a link, nothing happens. The screen is essentially frozen like this. The only option is to leave the page. Anyone else having this issue or suggestions as to what to do?

    Widgets- Drag & Drop
The ability to grab a widget from either active or inactive and move it to a side bar, etc, seems to be no longer available? The only way I can alter any widget is by entering accessibility mode. Is anyone else having drag & drop issues or suggestions as to what to do?

    Thank you!

I saw this already. Doesnt cover hyperlinks or drag & drop widget issues I mentioned…. Thanks though.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Twelve theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

I have not, as what I am experiencing is not a plugin related issue but direct WP usability issues, like creating hyperlinks within posts and moving around widgets on the widget page. Perhaps I do not see how plugins are related to those…

Please bear with us and try the steps suggested above. This is the most basic troubleshooting and unless you are willing to work with us, we cannot really help you. We don’t have any magic bullets.

    Hi,
    I have similar problems.
    * permalinks don’t work
    * widgets are frozen

    All plugins are turned off.

@idml Have you found anything that has helped this?

    Hi

Noticed its a Theme issue. Activate WP origin theme and u will see it works just fine. I just noticed that my MagazinePress theme from ThemeWarrior dont work with WP 3.5. Meny and widgets freeze….

    This suck!

@rondena – are you looking for help with this issue? If you’ve identified it as a theme problem – try asking here:

    http://www.themewarrior.com/support/

We don’t support commercial themes. If it’s not a theme issue (i.e. the problem exists for you even in a default theme with no plugins active), you need to start your own thread

    Hi

Thanks for ur concern… Cant change anything regardin widgets atm and the meny backend is not showing submeny…

Posted here just to notice people who search info. Often peps never post when they find the error reason so i posted mine.

Cant login to themewarrior/support for some reason but have posted on their chat on themeforest where i see they comment…

Okay, but it’s not always a theme issue – those kinds of problems can be caused by plugins or caching issues or various other things. So generally, unless you are using the same theme and have identified the exact cause of the issue in that theme, it’s probably not the same.

As esmi mentioned above, following the troubleshooting steps in the thread is the best way to identify the problem — and then figure out how to fix it.

    Ok…

Did step 1. Deactivate all plugins.. Now my right panel in widgets disappeared?? Tried activate some plugins but still no panel to place widgets in?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function dynamic_sidebar() in /storage/content/27/133427/sskwebben.se/public_html/wp-admin/includes/widgets.php on line 80

    Update

Reinstalled WP 3.5 and got the sidepanel in widgets back… Activating plugin one by one now…..

    Hi Guys
Just wanted to let everyone know that I ended up going the route of turning off all my plugins and reactivating one by one. All my issues are cleared up BUT I still have NO idea who or what the problem maker was as turning them back on did not bring the problems back, so go figure…. :-/

Found the failure. It was a plugin 🙂

When I activated the plugin bbelow the backend meny i WP didnt work ok and widget page froze. Inactivated it and everything work again 🙂
