Well there appears to be a conflict with another one of your plugins or your theme.

The only way we would be able to verify the system conflict is to actually look at what you have going on.

I don’t understand your reference to:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-user-files-several-problems-with-the-plugin?replies=36

    That is not our plugin.

I’m aware that it’s not your plugin referenced, however, it is a similar issue which I was referring to. It is not correct that this issue is a conflict with another plugin. As a test, I created a brand new instance of wordpress, and only installed nextgen gallery and the library addon. Still, I experienced the same issue. The server is ubuntu, and it’s my own, so I have complete control to install everything I like. I believe that there is a dpkg missing, on the ubuntu system that it’s installed on. PHP5-GD is installed, so is php5-curl. If there is a package required for the plugin to work, I think it should be listed on the requirements section in the installation notes. The fact is, this works on my local computer with Mamp, but does not work on the server. I’m asking that you assist me in finding the solution. Thank you,

Well that is a much better explanation than your original message. Please do not get curt with me. You are using a free plugin and we are happy to assist anyone we can with finding a solution to any issue with their WordPress platform, even if it has nothing to do with our plugin.

But we can not look into space to see what your system has that the other 1000+ users of the plugin don’t have an issue with. Your issue is the first of its kind, so give us some time to find a solution. We do not use Ubuntu, so it may be difficult to troubleshoot.

If we can not find a solution, we will be happy to give you a refund for the free plugin.

I was not getting curt with you, I was merely explaining. If you find the tone curt, please realize that emotion and empathy cannot be conveyed by everyone using chat or email. I would hope that you appreciate when someone needs assistance and shows you an issue with your plugin that will assist other users. This will only help your plugin grow. There are many service providers that use debian and ubuntu, even red hat as a host server. I appreciate your time and effort in helping me solve this issue.

Ok that’s fine…all is good. I will have to run this by Paul to see what he thinks, so expect a reply tomorrow.

We will do what we can to get it working properly.

    Hello dynm,

If it’s fine with you, can you possibly send a temporary WP admin access and FTP details to support@jaggededgemedia.com? We’ll check it out.

    Thanks!

    Dynm-

I am just doing a followup on this issue. Have you sent Paul the necessary credentials for us to take a closer look?
