    hi!

I'm a little bit confuse because today I got mail with "approve new comment". Nothing strange but in my case is it strange. Why?
My website based on WP is still in progress - nobody knows about it, about address etc
And the content of this comment is anxiety:

"A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."

    :-/
What really doesn't it mean? Should I be anxious that someone can steal my password or something?

    Thanks in advance

    Ignore the comment.

Have a random character password and you will be fine.

    And enjoy yourself :)

If your site is currently open to the internet, even if 99.99% of the world doesn't know that it's there, it is still subject to the same spam crap that all bloggers using all blogging software programs get.

There is not a guarantee anywhere that any product can protect you from hackers looking to steal your information, but WordPress, like other blogging platforms, does everything it can to protect you. Any time vulnerabilities are identified in the base technology used (PHP and MySQL) or indeed, in WP code itself, the code developers work hard to resolve any identified issues.

So, should you be anxious about password theft? No, I don't think so. You should be aware of the possibility, and keep regular backups and change your password regularly, and do all those things you can to make it as difficult as possible for anyone to break in. In other words, you don't need to be any more or any less concerned than any other time you are dealing with something that is available on the internet.

Have you entered any posts with WP set to ping, as it might be pinging pingomatic (or where ever) with your new posts.

So even if youve not told anyone the address, itll still be out there for spammers to get.

  6. And, if you would rather not have any comments right now, delete wp-comments-post.php. Similarly, if you don't want trackbacks, delete wp-trackbacks.php.
