Is WP mainly used for blogging?

    Hi, I am learning how to blog and am using WP blog. May I know if wp is mainly a blogging tool?

    I also wish to know how to :
    1) change Look and feel of my blog http://whats-cooking.info/cookingblog (preferably use some food template)
    2) add adsense to my blog.
    3) promote my blog and bring traffic to my main website?
