i'm sure you've heard this question many times before, but there is one main thing i need out of a cms system before i fully delve into it.

Basically the main thing i need to create is this:
When i get a client, i supply them with a username and password and they can log in and see a page that i have created for them.

this page will contain images i have created, and they are able to comment on them.

nobody else can see this page apart from myself and the specified member.

obviously when a different client comes along i repeat this system and once more only they can see their specific page.

anybody done this before or know how possible it is, i would appreciate any information
    thanks
    Dan

In the Write > Post or Write > Page panel's Publish box, you have an option to make the page or post password protected. So you can set upload the images to the post e.g. password protect it, publish it and give the URL and password to client.

ok, is there a redirect module to use with that, so i could have a menu link with Client Page, and then give them a code, which re-directs them to the password protected page?

I don't understand what you are trying to ask in that last comment, meshdesign.

@meshdesign: You don't need a redirect plugin at all. Just give the URL and password to "open" the page/post where you uploaded the images to your client. e.g.
    http://example.com/client1234
    password: mamamia333

that seems fine, and i will probably do that method, just wondering if there is a way for a menu item to show when the client logs in, similar to a my account sort of page?

create a "menu" page for your client and link to that.
Either passwort protect this page too, or let it be public and only the subpages are protected.
You can use a plugin called "exclude page from navigation" or something to have this page not show up in your menu structure.
Get a plugin to automatically list subpages and you won't have to manually add links to subpages ... just create them and done.
