Are there any specific kinds of site you have in mind?

I found WP much easier to get into and faster to develop for than Drupal (or Joomla) when I was looking for a platform to base all of my development on - when WP was at version 2.3. Of course all three have probably moved on a lot since - I know WP has.

All of the sites I've wanted to make I have been able to do in WP. I have encountered a few head-scratchers along the way, but have always been able to find a suitable solution to achieve any functionality I wanted.

lol....that would be my exact answer. I was experimenting with WP, Drupal, and Joomla at the same timeframe (WP 2.3) and had sites running on each. Also had an SMF forum. I eventually gave up dev on each and migrated everything to WP. I just find it so much easier

I would, myself, say that ease of use adds to creating websites with less time constraints. Programming languages that are easier to use, such as Python , for example, can be developed in less time, IMO, then other languages that are harder to understand, such as C (I am not a convert to Python in particular, but I tend to choose languages and platforms that are easier to use). I am also one to have found WordPress to be easier to use as a CMS. Not to mention, it is also free, and an open platform, which is nice, too. :)
