   Right, this is a little bit difficult to explain, but I'll be brief:

   I have about 40 pages - which are actually product items. This is not an online shop, but an online catalogue.

   Each item (a door or window) has options, such as types of glass, handles, letterboxes etc.

   I'd like to have all these options pre-populated in WordPress, so when I add a new product, I can tick boxes to show what options are available for this product, and then show this on the page with a thumbnail.

   How would this be achieved, any ideas?

   A customized meta_box maybe, to input the data. Then, of course your theme's templates would have to be modified to echo the information.
