    Hi.

I have bought a plugin called hero caster because I was look for an alternative to leadplayer.

Going through the purchase process I was send to many lead landing pages, you know the once telling me to purchase PURCHASE NOW etc.

But the herocaster site looked like a valid site.
now after I have made the purchase I noticed that the purchase site has a countdown that shows that it is a limited offer, but when the count down reaches zero it just restarts.

I have browsed many of the so called developer sites, and it just screams SCAM to me.

The software developers are named Simon and Jeremy and you can see one of their many websites here

Does anybody in the wordpress community have any experience with these guys?

Are they for real? or is it one big hoax?

Right now I feel like I have been fooled.

I’m sorry but we are not in a position to comment on plugins downloaded from anywhere other than wordpress.org.

    Hi Esmi

That is fine, but I am not looking for support,

I am looking and hoping for other wordpress users that can tell me if they have any experice with the mentioned plugin developers.

This is why I made the post in Miscellaneous.

    I hope this is ok.

If it is a scam, I just hope that we can warn others.

Generally speaking, we do recommend that people stick to downloading plugins from reputable resources – like wordpress.org – so that they avoid unpleasant experiences. Unfortunately, that message doesn’t always get across. 🙁

Are you not satisfied with the plugin itself, or the way they advertise it (being a limited offer that doesn’t appear that limited after all)?

I do not dare to install the plugin, even to try it out, because I feel the seller is a scam seller, who have created a good looking selling page, that can sell but do not give you any real value.

And there is no where you can complain because you do receive a plugin, but I do not trust the integrity of the seller.

Here is what I have learned since then.

The seller codeeagle.com, has many different company names, like memberspeed.

They have a facebook page but there are basically no interactions from users. There are thousands of likes, but no comments, and you can’t see the users who have liked their page, so there is not telling to see if it is bought likes (which I am suspecting it to be)

Most of their sites are selling some marketing information, and after i made the purchase I get emails with more marketings suggestions for stuff to buy.

I have created a ticket on their support system, which by the way does not show me any real user activity, just like their facebook page.

I did receive an answer from a guy from India, who wrote that sometimes managements have reasons to extend the offer, but checking back on the sales page I see the same automatic recurrence of the count down.

So my conclusion is that this is a sales hoax, you do get a product but not real support, and since you do get a product there is no way to get your money back

If they can make a thousand sales for 27$ they can take the money and run. I honestly do not think that it is a legit business.
