Is this a cyrillic character problem

Hi,
I have two Q:

1. After I made a backup trought your plugin, and I open sql with editor inseatd of cyrillic characters I see this”…∏, –∫–∞—Ç–æ –ø—Ä–∞–≤–∏–ª–Ω–∏—è –Ω–∞—á–∏–Ω –¥–∞ –∑–∞–ø–æ—á–Ω–µ—Ç–µ —Ä…”
And there is no actual cyrillic characters at all.

Why is this hapend?

2. Is your backup replace the need to backup from phpMyAdmin section
