Loving wordpress right now but the only issue that I've been having has been changing my permalink. For some reason, there is no option to change the permalink at all and it's stuck with a link to a page that has been deleted which is causing a troublesome broken link.
Is there a reason why WordPress wont allow me to edit the permalink?
I have researched the question in the forums but it seems like everyone with permalink issues can at least edit the permalink text.
If you're saying that there is no EDIT button present next to the permalink in the editor, that is wrong. I would look at your plugins - anything there that might be interfering?

Did you also delete the offending page from the trash?
Sometimes WP holds onto stuff even if you did delete from from page view.

Hmm, I'll check my plugins. Other than that I can't see anything else that may be interfering. I did delete the previous page from the trash though.
Screenshot would help to make sure we're talking about the same thing here.

I'm not sure this board allows me to post screenshots (either that or I dont understand how =P )
What my screen shows is the Permalink: Permalink: http://hobbyportal.org/http:/hobbyportal.org/Beekeeping
You can see that it also doubles the link in there for some reason. The "Beekeeping" page that used to exist has since been perm. deleted.
Following the permalink I have the option to "View Post" or "Get Shortlink". The only plugin I have that might possibly interfere would be the "All in One SEO Pack" which is still on default settings.
Something I just realized as well, when I create a new post it automatically sets the link to the broken one mentioned above with no way of editing it.

It doesn't. A link to your site is usually the best option.
Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.
To post screenshots you need to upload your screenshots somewhere and then paste a link here.
To be clear, are you able to edit the permalink for other pages - and just not this one?
Also, you are referring to the Edit Page screen right?
What about using the Quick Edit feature in the main list of Pages?

Editing the permalink for a new page works fine but the issue I'm having is with my blog posts.
Lets see if this works:
http://imgur.com/O71xe (Apologies for the tiny picture, had to do it quickly)
Can we please have a link to your site? My best guess is that your custom permalink structure is badly broken. Only an examination of post links on your site will be able to confirm this.
I believe this is the link the OP is referring to
http://hobbyportal.org/http:/hobbyportal.org/Beekeeping
Curiously he does have pages which are loading properly.
What happens if you add a new post from scratch?
Doh! Should have realised that I could construct the site url from that!
And, yes, I was right. Your permalinks are borked. Reset your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.
