Is there any way to use excerpts with articles on static pages?

    Hi,
    I have some static pages with long articles and would like to shorten them a little, so that I can fit more on a page. If not with excerpts, is there any other way to achieve this? The more tag does not seem to work there…

    Yep. Edit page.php and replace the_content() with the_excerpt()

    I’ve been trying to use the excerpt editor plugin, but it didn’t work either, so I deactivated it.

    I did as suggested but then, my first article was cut, and all the others below it disappeared too. I still have the ‘more’tags in place. Could that have anything to do with the problem?

    Try “The Excerpt Reloaded” plugin. It has plenty of options an works on wp 2.5.1
