Is there a way to turn off the Permalinks

Hi. Great plugin! I’m still a-fiddling and need some help..

Is there a way to turn off the Permalinks (?) so the user can’t click the title. I would prefer they click read more which instead takes them to a static page.

I have a test site in the works here http://multisite.pairsite.com/womanwisewp/

The headlines are links and I would prefer they not be. (News Item 2- Lipsum, News Item 1 Flu Shots, etc).
