I would like to rename the wp-content folder. How can you bulk reset the links to the renamed wp-content folder?

If not, is there a plugin for this function?

    Check this thread out: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/renaming-moving-wp-content

There is also a plugin which offers the functionality of renaming the wp-content folder - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/better-wp-security/ - but I don't know if it will reset the links in your posts. Bear in mind that how it would work also depends on how the theme you are using is written.

Anyway, the Media Rename plugin cannot help you with that.

The idea is when you rename the wp-content folder, you could also either sync up the image links (media folder) to the new folder name in a global statement or place the medial files outside of the wp-content folder.

Renaming the wp-content folder, all image links would also be disconnected. If the image or media folder would reside outside of the wp-content folder than any change of the wp-content folder would not impact the path for the media files. The object is to be able rename the wp-content folder for better security without loosing the image links. I am trying to find a solution for this either as a PHP snippet or plugin.
