• Is there a way to get an old category out of the trash? I can’t figure out how to do this or if I even can.

If not, I can just create a new category, but I noticed my client had already created a category that they’d like to use again and I was hoping to pull the original one that they created out of the trash if possible.

    Thanks in advance.

Just to illustrate what I’d like to fix.

It appears that my client deleted a category that they had set up in the past. The category is called “Life” and the original slug was “/life”.

Now, they’d like to use this on their redesigned site, however, it appears that they’ve deleted the original life category. However, now when I try to create a new category called “Life” WordPress is changing the slug to “/life-2” and it won’t allow me to create the slug I’d like to use “/life”.

I figured out the conflict. There are Tag slugs that are conflicting with the new Category slugs.
