Is there a way to disable/enable plugins and widgets for paying/premium members? (1 post)

    Hello. I have two questions.

First, I'm trying to create a Buddypress/Wordpress powered social network, where I'll offer members additional features for a small monthly fee. One of these features is to allow group customization via CSS.
I already have a CSS plugin in operation, and it seems to function quite well. However, is there a way to make this plugin a 'premium' add-on, where users must pay a small fee to gain CSS customization abilities?

My second question is quite similar to my first, but instead involves sidebar widgets. Is there a way to hide certain widgets from displaying to people who pay a monthly fee? Such as, for instance, the widget that contains advertisements.

Thank you for reading, and although I'm willing to pay for a plugin that does what I need, I'm also capable of creating it myself if I had the resources. That said, I'd prefer to use an already made and functional plugin that's free to download.
