This subject recently crossed my eye, I've seen some wordpress blogs using a "hide" feature.
This was simply a text "click here to show hidden contents", and when we would click it, it would reveal a part of the post that was not previously available.
I found it extremely useful, to avoid revealing unheard info (for instance, do you really want to know the ending of a TV serie on a series blog, when you just start watching it even though the serie ended two days ago ?), or to hide potentially shocking contents from the younger visitors (potentially shocking pictures for instance).
To this day, I don't know if this is plugin-related, or if there is a simple wordpress feature allowing this...
