OgvidiusHi. I'm currently developing a website for my church on wordpress and I love it so far. The only problem I have at the moment is that, on the old website, we used Tumblr to upload an mp3 recording of the Sermon from each week. We had a guy that was responsible for this and was able to do it really easily and have it on the website sometimes an hour or two after the sermon, so it was very efficient. I've just been having a look at the different types of posts and the only thing I can see is the 'Add Audio' option when making a new post.
Seeing as the only thing we want to do is add the audio, it seems a bit too much fuss to go through the whole audio uploading, adding titles, captions etc and then publishing the post and it takes at least twice as long as it would in Tumblr. I don't mind it too much but I'm not sure that the guys responsible for uploading the content once the website is done will find it very easy. Is there a simpler way of doing this?
I'd like to be able to have something where the audio uploader man can just log in, click on the file to upload, hit upload and then publish it, and it automatically puts it on the site, with an embedded player so people can listen to it there and then, or download it if they want to. At the moment I think all the added functions like Permalinks and Excerpts and Comments might just confuse people. I just want to make it as simple as possible for the people updating the content to be able to do it. If there are any options please let me know. Thank you!
