Support » Plugins » Is there a plugin which imports RSS into a post rather than the sidebar?

  • I am successfully using the WP RSS widget to crosspost my two blogs to each other. Now what I’m hoping to do is take the most recent (partial) post from Blog B and place it under the most recent post on Blog A. Similarly, I’d like Blog A’s most recent to appear under the most recent post on Blog B. In other words, I want posts to appear in the main content rather than in the sidebar. Has anyone come up with a way? Thanks.

    Blog A
    ——
    Post 1A
Post 1(B) — maybe first 20 words or so
    Post 2A
    Post 3A
    etc.

    Blog B
    ——
    Post 1(B)
Post 1(A) — maybe first 20 words or so
    Post 2B
    Post 3B
    etc.

  • Maybe FeedWordPress plugin?

    This is perfect. Thank you.

I’ve got it installed now, but am wondering how to import excerpts rather than whole posts.

    Anyone know?

bluehole – did you figure out how to import excerpts rather than the whole post? I’ve got the same problem…

I’m going to install this later today or tomorrow. I’m going to dig into the code, so when I find how to change the_content to the_excerpt (if it’s there), I’ll share.

I think it just pulls in whatever is in the feed. MY problem is I’d like to syndicate the full text (with attribution non-commercial) but not everybody publishes that. 🙁 [cue Dave Winer standard speech]

But there are functions/plugins to automatically –more– or limit the posts. You can try that and see if it works.

    Let me know.
