I found I spent too much time on uploading a post and waiting for the remote server to respond.
Is there anyway I can compose my posts locally exactly as I want it to appear on my site and upload it in the background?
I am thinking of a local editor that I can write and insert pictures locally, and then upload it to WP in the background.
I have no idea what you're talking about. What do you mean you "upload" your posts? You use your admin panel to write and "publish" them.

I think he is thinking about a WYSIWYG editor locally on the computer that will push text, formatting, and images to WordPress. I believe there are programs like this, but I have had little luck with them.

Here are some suggestions. I use windows live writer, works like a charm.
I use ecto on my Mac, which think is available in a Windows version, and it works very well indeed.
Currently I use "live writer" which is a free download.
Havn't used Ecto, but is now available as windows version.

Apparently it costs £17.95
Its good to be able to work on posts offline tho'
Good Luck.

Thank you guys. I just tried Qumana and it was heinous.
It only sees part of my old posts, leaving me the impression that they were incomplete posts. And I lost a large part of my post on Ron Jeremy.
My rant and review about Qumana.
Will try out MS live writer and ecto.

I just quickly tried MS live writer and it is a perfect off-line editor save its tagging feature.
How can I make Live Writer forget about Technorati Tags and tag my posts in the usual way?
