Hello
I'm testing our wordpress as a solution to our blogging needs.
New to this. Had a couple of questions.
1. Is there a role as "Admin" within wordpress which superceedes every other roles (author, commentator,moderator etc)
2. Is there 'moderator' role? Hows that different from the other roles.

Yes, there is an admin. No, there is no "moderator", but there are several other default roles that are similar.

Also, Roles can be customized, so you can create a "Moderator" if you want. Look for the Role Manager plugin.
