nextpage code is not working in 3.7.1 version

    Hi, I am very new in wordpress. I have written a long article and want to paginate the post into several “Next Page– 1, 2, 3….” option.

    I have used <!–nextpage–> among the post/article. but it does not working.

    Please help how can I get it, or is there any other way to put the pagination into post ?

    My wordpress version is 3.7.1

    in “post” go “text” area and then insert <!–nextpage–>

    Now, next page, 1 2 3…. works….
