Is it possible to only use " " and "-" to expand and collaps sub-level display.

For current plugin, clicking parent items (category, page, archive) will expand or collapse subitem display. but in some situation, the parent item have content to display.

Is it possible to ONLY click “+” or “-” to expand or collapse subitems, and click item itself (parent item or sub-item) to display the content of that item?
