Is it ok to run WordPress without using wp_head()?

    Hi, I was thinking wp_head() is great for managing conditional linking to stylesheets, javascripts, etc., but since I don’t need that function for my theme, I was thinking of jettisoning wp_head() from head.php.

    Is that legitimate, acceptable, and professionally appropriate?
