   are all post comments held for moderation by default?

   i'm just wondering if someone's comment could bypass moderation, like is there a setting I can toggle 'moderate all comments' or accidentally 'do not moderate comments'?

   Comment moderation depends on your settings in Admin/Settings/Discussion.

   thnx esmi,

   so, to resolve this

   in the Admin > Settings > Discussion panel

   if I uncheck the option that says:
   'Before a comment appears' : 'An administrator must always approve the comment'

   some comments might appear without me moderating/approving them?
   specifically (given the following options)
   - all comments with less than the stipulated number of links
   - all comments from users with previously approved comments

   if that initial box is unchecked
   - what about registered WP.com users' comments?
   - what about random folks who comment and provide name/email?

   A self-hosted blog has no connection with wordpress.com, so wp.com users won't be treated any differently than A. Random Visitor.
