Is the CloudFlare plugin Wp Multisite compatible? I haven't seen any specific mentions of multisite.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cloudflare/

*EDIT* Does it get Network enabled and do all sites get improvements or do each need a separate CloudFlare account.

    Hi,

Are the domains add-on domains? If so, each domain would need to be added separately to CloudFlare. If simply wildcard subdomains, you would need to define the subdomains in your CloudFlare DNS settings for the primary domain.

    Thanks @damoncloudflare

Can you also clarify whether this plugin would be network enabled correct?

    Hi,

The honest answer is that we haven't tested the plugin against WordPress multisite just yet (also haven't had any feedback from customers about it working/not working across multisite). I believe that it *should*.

    @damoncloudflare
So, I have to put single A entry for every subdomains in my CloudFlare DNS settings? Wouldn't a wildcard (* A entry) enough in there?

"So, I have to put single A entry for every subdomains in my CloudFlare DNS settings? "

Or create a CNAME record for the subdomains.

We can't proxy * (wildcard) records at this time for a variety of reasons, including security related concerns. If we can figure out a solution to it that addresses these concerns, we'll be more than happy to launch something.

The WP plugin is also not compatible with multiesite at this time:(

How about a simple API that queries the 'wp_blogs' table in the WP database? Each time a new WP blog is registered in a multisite install, an entry gets added to this table with the subdomain.

We really don't need Wildcard DNS. All we really need is to have a plugin that pings CloudFlare when a new site gets registered to add that subdomain to our CloudFlare account.

TT CloudFlare WPMU Plugin will be avail very very soon... we already use it and testing is almost over...

    Screenshot here: http://stiofan.themetailors.com/files/2011/09/screen.png

Max 300 new blogs per hour as per CloudFlare API limitation and sync up to 300 pre-existing blogs only.

We are working on a version that allows to sync immense networks and we would like to talk with CF people (you there?) to see if API can be opened up a bit more???

Else we already have a workaround, but syncing a network with let's say 10k blogs, would take couple of full days...
    Stay tuned,

    Paolo

@paoltaia - Since this is in beta, can we get a trial copy to test?

Theme Tailors is in Beta... not the plugin!
The plugin is working like a charm.

Don't worry we got the message:
Today we should release a free version and a pro version...

    :-)

Ok, CloudFlare is now caching Theme Tailors to it's fullest and have to admit it's even better than I thought.

Given that we are working on a top notch version of the TT CloudFlare WPMU Plugin with the support of CloudFlare engineers, who are applying 1 mod we requested to their API, we decided to pack a basic version to release for free to allow anyone to start using cloudflare with WPMU.

This free version simply adds new records thru CloudFlare API, whenever a new blog is created.

    Have fun with CloudFlare!

I have a multisite installation with almost 400 sites that were done with add-on domains. I have a reseller account with my hosting company that they are now telling me that I have to upgrade my account.

I was wondering if I am able to use this plug-in with my existing sites as well as new ones but after clicking on the free plug-in link, I see that the Pro version does that.

I would like to buy that. Can you let me know how I implement cloudflare with my existing sites using the plug-in?

This is compatible with Intense Debate?

    Hi Phil,

Shouldn't be any issues at all with CloudFlare and Intense Debate.

"I was wondering if I am able to use this plug-in with my existing sites as well as new ones but after clicking on the free plug-in link, I see that the Pro version does that."
You would have to signup for CloudFlare directly (the plugin alone doesn't make CloudFlare work). The plugin(s) are there to make the process of adding/updating the addon subdomains easier.

    Just a quick follow up.

Addon domains, better known as Mapped domain, can't be handled automatically with our plugin, which can only add subdomain as CNAMES to CloudFlare.

With mapped domains every new domain must be manually created on CloudFlare, as there is no way to do that through API at the moment.

We have asked if adding this feature was something they would consider, and they said : "It's under discussion, but not immediate."

If it will happen, we'll definetly work on it...

    Hi

    Your last comment here.

Can you just confirm for me please.

I have a site with 2 mapped domains.

So I need to just add all 3 sites (primary and 2 mapped subdomains) directly on the Cloudflare website.

But I have to skip this plugin, right?

Or can it still be enabled in some way?

    Thanks in advance :)

    correct!

I think it would be good to make the use of the plugin (TT) a little bit clearer on the Plugin page. It's a little misleading if you don't want to do CNAME and are simply using the domain mapping tool for WP Multisite...

    Just a thought...

    Cheers, Titus
