Please excuse my ignorance but what do you mean when you say that your plugin does not work in certain circumstances with caching? If the "You are blocked" message is cached, so what? How would that have an adverse effect on the site? Thank you for your assistance with this question and thank you for developing this plugin. If it works with my caching plugin (HyperCache), it will save me huge amounts of time and aggravation.

    Hi,

Bad caching could lead to the following situation. Let's assume you block every country in the world except the USA from visiting your frontend site.

When I would visit your home of the website from Europe I would get blocked. With bad caching software or a bad implementation my block message would be cached and also served to any visitor from the USA that comes after me until the page is removed from the cache.

Not every caching software works like that but there are a lot of simple caching solutions that ignore the strong "do NOT cache this" header I send with each visitor that is blocked. And in that scenario also legitimate visitors can be blocked.

I am happy the plugin works for you. I have it on my to do list to test various wordpress cache plugins to see which ones works with my plugin and which ones don't.

I see. Thank you for the explanation. Your plugin apparently works with HyperCache as I have not seen the "blocked" page cached.
