We have IPTC data in our photos but the shortcodes are not working in the description field. I have EXIF and IPTC enabled, and I have HTML enabled, but when I post the following code in the Description field - it is coming up with all the shortcode visible.

When I click on "Show Camera Info" it comes up as

    Date Time	E#0132
    Photographer	E#013B
    Copyright	E#8298
    Location	2#092, 2#090, 2#095, 2#101
    Camera	E#0110
    Focal length	E#920A
    Subject distance	E#9206
    Shutter Speed	E#829A
    F-Stop	E#829D
    ISO Speed Rating	E#8827
    Exposure bias	E#9204
    Exposure program	E#8822
    Metering mode	E#9207
    Flash	E#9209

The code I am using is:

[ Moderator Note: Please post code or markup snippets between backticks or use the code button. ]

Please make sure the checkboxes in Table II-B17 and 18 of the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page are checked, and supply me a link to the page showing the problem.

Those are definitely checked. Unfortunately we have the page private until it's ready to be launched - I'll see if I can password it temporarily.

Do you see the exif and iptc data in the exif and iptc boxes in the slideshow?

No - it says No IPTC data and No EXIF data in the boxes. But when I open the photo in Photoshop, there is clearly IPTC data in the fields.

I am trying to disable each other plugin one by one to see if there's a conflict. I know the shortcodes should not appearing in the description.

ok - I passworded the page for now -

    http://studionycha.org/developinglives/photo-archive/

    password is wppahelp

I can only leave this for a short time so will disable password and make private again soon.

Only the first photo in the slideshow has the shortcodes in the description. I didn't do it for the other photos yet.

Tis link: http://studionycha.org/developinglives/photo-archive/?wppa-album=1&wppa-cover=0&wppa-occur=1&slide&wppa-photo=3 shows that it works,
but not all photos were uploaded with the iptc and exif data. Did you resize them before uploading with a program that discards the data?

Only the first photo in the album has the shortcodes in the description. Do you see that the shortcode is visible above the Camera Info link - and if you hover over the photo, the description shows all the code? And in Camera Info - all shortcodes are showing. Is this supposed to work that way?

The photos were resized, yes, but all IPTC info is still there when I open them in Photoshop.

The first photo: Ft_Ind_NYCHA_Alina_8A_0107.jpg has no exif and iptc data.
    The second also not: Ft_Ind_NYCHA_Alina_12A_0103.jpg.

    The third ( 11A_0047.jpg ) has:

    IPTC:
    Creator:	Only the Best :-))
Caption:	Autosave-File vom d-lab2/3 der AgfaPhoto GmbH
    EXIF:
    ImageWidth:	3000
    ImageLength:	2000
    BitsPerSample:	8; 8; 8
    PhotometricInterpretation:	2
ImageDescription:	Autosave-File vom d-lab2/3 der AgfaPhoto GmbH
    Make:	AgfaPhoto GmbH
    Model:	d-lab.2/3
    Orientation:	1
    SamplesPerPixel:	3
    XResolution:	720000/10000
    YResolution:	720000/10000
    ResolutionUnit:	2
    Software:	Adobe Photoshop CS5 Macintosh
    DateTime:	2012:12:20 11:16:35
    Artist:	Only the Best :-))
    YCbCrPositioning:	2
    ReferenceBlackWhite:	0/1; 255/1; 128/1; 255/1; 128/1; 255/1
    Exif_IFD_Pointer:	440
    ExifVersion:	0220
    ComponentsConfiguration:
    FlashPixVersion:	0100
    ColorSpace:	1
    ExifImageWidth:	1080
    ExifImageLength:	720

Put the Camera info stuff in the 3rd photo description and you will see that it works.

Thank you. I think the problem was with certain photos - others are working fine.
