   Hi all,

   I have a wordpress blog I use as a website. It is accessible thorugh:

   http://www.mydomain.com/wp-login.php

   Now I want to use the iPhone client but I have no idea how to set this up. I have tried several things:

   Since I don't want to create a new blog I played with the second and the third option:
   2nd: a blog, hosted on wordpress.com: but that does not work

   3rd: a blog hosted by myself: which url do I need here?!? I tried http://www.mydomain.com/ as well as http://www.mydomain.com/wp-login.php

   but both don't work.

   Can anybody help me with this? Is this possible at all? And why isn't it described better?

   Where is your blog hosted?

   If it's wordpress.com, then option 2.

   If it's anywhere else, then option 3, and the address is just http://www.yourdomain.com.

   Is remote publishing turned on in your WordPress settings?

   Dashboard > Settings > Writing > and make sure this tick-box is checked...

   "XML-RPC Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols."

   If so, what is the error message you receive when trying to connect using the WordPress App?

   Calyton, thanks so much for this info. That is just what I needed. I switched the XML-RPC option on via this:
   http://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/options-writing.php

   And now I was able to sign up properly. Thanks again, you've been very helpful. :)
