IP based preview URLs are 404ing.

    Hi. I’m a recent MT convert, and have been enjoying working in WordPress. In WHM/CPanel, there’s a concept of a preview url: http://[server.ip.here]/~%5Baccountname%5D/ — this provides http access to a new client account prior to the DNS resolving for the fully qualified domain name.

    It seems that WordPress, installed at root, is interfering with this, giving me 404 pages instead. I’ve Googled extensively but haven’t found anything on this topic. Can anyone direct me?

    Ah. This wasn’t what it appeared to be. Apparently the problem had to do with a conflict with another application competing to write to the .htaccess. Oh well.
