• I have 3 sites in development on my PC via WAMP. Instead of using localhost, I used my IP address so that my wife could login from her laptop to help me with the content. This morning my IP address changed and I cannot login to WordPress. After many hours of searching online for an answer and a lot of trial and error, I find myself here asking for help.

    1) How can I either change my IP address on my PC or gain access to WordPress to change the hardcoded IP address.

    2) Can someone provide some useful advice what I should do to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

    Thanks!

    Brian

    I’m a step closer after reading the post… Moving_WordPress

However, I’m not really sure how to go about doing a search & replace to change all the IP addresses throughout the sites. The change in the IP address was just the last digit so I do not have to worry about ‘data serialization’ that was mentioned in the above post. Once I learn about search & replace with phpMyAdmin, I’m a little nervous about using it.
