Good Morning,
I have been trying to upload a 2MB mp3 file and it tells me IO error. I have used both the flash uploader and the browser uploader which times out.
I also removed all special characters yet i still get the same error.
Please i really need your help.

Check with your host to make sure you don't have file size upload limits; if you do, and it's smaller than your file, you'll get an error regardless of how you upload it. They might increase it for you if you ask.

I'm also getting this error and I'm uploading a 23kB file, so I don't think file size is an issue. I only get this error when using WordPress locally (localhost). I tried setting the right permissions and creating a .htaccess-file but none of that worked...
Any other suggestions? I already tried the list at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/164999?replies=1
