   I just installed WP for the first time (to http://www.laurareaux.com/blog) yesterday. First I had unknowingly installed a very old version through my old host's cpanel. I uninstalled and installed 2.8.3 through SimpleScripts in my new host's cpanel, but it would still show up as the old WP. I went into phpMyAdmin and deleted the wp table, uninstalled and reinstalled... could not login when I reinstalled. I followed instructions for changing password in phpMyAdmin and made note of my username, and I'm still getting "Invalid Username" when trying to login. Can anyone help?

   Did you remove all the tables?

   I had removed the ones for WP, but not the other ones.

   I have tried everything I can find. Is there no phone support for WP at all?

   Did you try "admin" as your username?
