Invalid Date Format – Safari Only

    Safari doesn’t like the date field in my form. I’ve used the default:

    [date* date-193 placeholder “yyyy.mm.dd”]

    But when a Safari user enters 2014.10.10 it rejects it warning about an invalid date format. In Chrome I have no problem, plus I also get a cool drop-out calendar to click.

    What gives?
