I’ve just downloaded this plug-in and entered an API key. I get this error message:

“MailChimp Error: Invalid Mailchimp API Key: fe6deac2ba6a558bd59cc6dbf01 . You are accessing the wrong datacenter – your client library may not properly support our datacenter mapping scheme.”

I’ll delete the API and start again once I understand this message. Can you help?

    Hi there,

Are you sure you’re copying the complete & correct API key? It should look something like this:

    abc123abc123abc123-us1

The last -us1 bit is especially important as this tells MailChimp which datacenter to access.

Thanks Danny, I’ve got it working. The key is longer than the box and for some reason the copy facility didn’t pick up the full key.

Glad you got it to work Chris!

PS. Should you have a quick minute to spare, a plugin review here on WordPress.org would make me quite happy. 🙂

I have the same problem. Just installed the plug-in. The error message that I get when inserting the API key, is:
API call to helper/ping failed: Couldn’t resolve host ‘us10 .api.mailchimp.com’
Can you help? Thanks in advance!
