intranet WP with NO internet access : how to install plugins & themes

    I have installed WP on my corporate intranet. I can’t have network access from my WP server to internet, even through corporate firewalls. I need to install plugins & themes, I download the zip files to my desktop, then upload them to WP, but the installation fails with the following error
    “WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator”.

    Is there a way to tell WP *not* to try to connect to wordpress.org and stay in my walledgarden intranet and just use the zip I upload ?
