My wordpress blog works perfectly on all search engines (Firefox, Google Chrome, e.c.t) apart from Internet Explorer.

When my blog loads up on Internet Explorer, the toolbar on then right hand side does not appear in the correct place! Instead it appears at the bottom of the page under the comments section.

This is a real problem for me because it effects how my page looks for users.

    My site address is:
    http://gdiperformanceteam.ws

    Please help! Thanks.

  • Your video element seems to double and extend into the sidebar section, which pushes the toolbar down. I think you’ll have to stop the video from doubling, because as far as I know IE, if it decides not to layer elements, thats a final decision. On the other hand you can try a z-index on the video element…

Okay, how can i do this?

Sorry… i am not very experienced with this side of site design.

    Thanks.

Well, first find div.player-container in your stylesheet and apply overflow: hidden. If that doesn’t help try z-index:2 on div.sidebar.
Otherwise I have gat no ideas…

Hello Everyone, i have solved the problem!

All i needed to do was go to:
Settings – Writing – Tick the box that says ‘WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically’.

After this, just update the page that is being affected and everything should be back to normal!
