    Hi,
I am new to WP and have been using Chrome to do everything in. I am currently running WP 3.6 Thesis 2.1 with the Social Triggers skin. It looks fine in Chrome but when I view it in IE the sidebar has dropped to the bottom.

The site is at http://davidwblackmon.com can someone tell me how to fix this in IE?

    Thanks in advance.

Check if the problem is theme-specific by switching to Twenty Twelve theme.

It does seem to be theme specific, Twenty Twelve looked fine. The sidebar was where it was supposed to be. Do you have any recommendations? I am new to WordPress so I am learning as I go, I appreciate the help. Should I be optimizing for IE initially then worry about the other browsers?

    Thanks again

Might be due to the MailChimp widget - which is producing some markup errors -

Try taking that widget out of the sidebar.

    Thank you WPyogi,

I had to go into the compatibility view in IE and change it. For some reason it was trying to correct it. Did it show up as broken to you when you looked at it in IE as well? I am asking because if that's the case then no one is going to go and change their compatibility view.

I am about as newbie as one can be with WordPress, I have been using it for a month now so I don't know much at all and I really appreciate any input, tips, video tutorials, etc...

It was my first time setting up MailChimp as well so I very well could have messed something up there as well.

    Thanks again for any help

I don't have access to IE right now. But it's quite "cranky" - and does not like invalid code - so those mark-up errors might be causing problems.

Thesis provides great support. I use Thesis 185. Give them a try.
