For starters, I don't know much about coding and the like.

I created a site with WP and it looks great on my Firefox and IE...except on IE the blogging portion doesn't function correctly...in fact, you can't even see the blog entries or the right sidebar.

    Any ideas?

Source code shows that you're copying and pasting text from MSWord. It has so many extraneous codes showing up and is wrecking your layout. Try to save your MSWord in plain text mode and paste on post. Then style the blockquotes in your CSS.

Another option is to use the button that is specifically for pasting from Word.....

You have to be using the Visual Editor to find it, and if you only have one line of buttons showing, click on the one on the far right that looks like two rows of buttons (hovering over it shows the tooltip "show/hide kitchen sink").....on the second row of buttons is one that has a tiny W on a folder, which is for pasting anything copied from word, so it preserves the formatting you've specified.

HOWEVER, all that being said, be advised that Word DOES use a lot of unnecessary, bloated, and often invalid CSS to create the formatting that you see - you would be much better off to copy the plain text as mercime suggests and then format it using the visual editor buttons........but I do know a lot of people who just insist on using Word to write their blog posts, which is why the button is there in the first place.
