Hello,
Does anyone know why Internet Explorer 7 is about twice as slow as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome?
We just launched our site: tsigconsulting.com/tolcam and it takes about 6-12 seconds to load a page on IE7, vs. 2-4 seconds in the other browsers.

Works fine in IE7 for me, had a little delay reaching the main page, but links clicked on the site came up nice and quickly for me.
Have you tested this from more than one PC?

Thanks for checking! We did test from two different locations. But it's not enough to be conclusive. Firefox and Mozilla were twice as fast. Could you say how many seconds on average it takes you to display a page after clicking an icon. I just counted it out to myself, and I got 6-7 seconds on IE7. My colleague got closer to 10-12 seconds on IE8.

Some pages are anywhere from 1-5 seconds, alot are up within 2 seconds though, the biggest delay is with loading the main page initially.
Never more than 5-6 seconds though..
I hadn't tested in Firefox before, but now i have i can see exactly the same delays, if you're not seeing it in other browsers, make sure to clear your browser's cache.
So for me, it's not specific to IE, your site loads at the same speed in either browser.

They agree that IE is just the absolute worst browser there is ... it ended last 14 TIMES with their tests.

I need help with the same issue. My site runs smoothly in every browser but IE, and I've tried on different computers. Can anyone help me, please?

Same problem for me and having a hard time finding an answer. On our site is a pretty big difference in speeds.. Did anyone come up with a fix? we've tried all the common fixes, making images smaler, disabling plugins, etc.

Your site loaded very quickly with IE9 but on a refresh the theme changed. I guess you are working on it.

Loaded fine with IE7, 8 and 9. Less than 2 seconds.
