Internet Explorer 6 theme trick still work?

    Ok, so Internet explorer 6 does not support the “application/xhtml+xml” media type, so there is apparently a trick to allow it to support it here:

    http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/2004/xhtml-faq#browsers

    My question is, does this trick still work with WordPress 3.2.1 themes?
    Second question is, would I need to modify any plugins if I used the ie6 trick?
