   Hi - I would really appreciate any help.... I have spent days searching for an answer and trying different things.

   My main page is only showing the directory - although I have it set up to show a static page (and have several pages and custom page templates uploaded). I can't figure out why the main page won't load!!

   Also, when I try to go to individual pages by typing in their direct URLs, I get an internal 500 server error... please please please if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it so much.

   This is a 2nd blog install (which is supported, I am with HostGator).

   In addition - this problem happens regardless what theme I have set up, and whether the reading settings to display a blog or static page are changed.
