The issue can be found here: http://www.mygeekreview.com
    The preview works: No
It works with other themes: No, n/a
It works when I disable all other plugins: No, n/a
    Meta Slider version: 2.4.1

    ————–

I can’t access the preview portion when I click “save and preview”. Here is a screenshot of the error for reference. The slider also doesn’t show up on the home page.

Upon looking at my server error logs I found the following: [Fri Oct 18 22:40:17 2013] [error] [client ##.##.###.###] SoftException in Application.cpp:###: Directory “/…{excluded stuff}/wp-content/plugins” is writeable by group, referer: {excluded site stuff}?page=metaslider

    Things checked and done:
    – The theme has all necessary code (wp_footer(), shortcode, etc.) and works on a demo site hosted by another provider
    – The css and js have not been disabled
    – I increased the WP_MEMORY_LIMIT to 96M
    – There’s nothing in the debug log pertaining to metaslider
    – I have disabled all the plugins (although there is one in the screenshot that I re-enabled to put the site in maintenance mode)
    – Changed theme to the original WP 2013 theme
    – Set GD as the default image processor

I have no idea what I’m doing and I don’t know what any of this means. Thank you for the assistance.

I fixed it on my own.

For those that come along with a similar error, try changing the permission of your plugin folder to 755. I tried everything else and this was ultimately the solution.
