I just updated a site I’m working on from 3.1 rc3 to rc4 and I noticed Internal linking is not present !

Is this feature being dropped from 3.1 ?
    cheers Dave

  • Nope, I have it on RC4

Something must have gotten jacked up on your upgrade. Do you have any plugins active? Otherwise may wanna reinstall RC4

Just checked on my 3.1 RC4

In visual editor, it’s still there (as an option below the normal link).

Dave — can you provide a screenshot of the link dialog on your site?

Sorry for delay in getting back – I posted late last night, and had appointments all morning…

OK, thought I’d try it the other way round and install RC4 as a totally fresh install on my local machine (XAMPP) and the internal linking works fine! So it certainly seems like something is odd – plugin or otherwise.

You can see what the popup looks like on the site where it doesn’t work – it just looks like the pre 3.1 version of the linking… http://dj-software.com.au/tv/wp_link.png

I’ll install the same plugins I have on the other site and see if any of them break it and post back…

OK, that was a bit of luck, the first plugin I installed seems to be the culprit !

    It is TinyMCE Advanced….

Just went to the TinyMCE Advanced plugin website and the author is aware of the problem and has a later version currently in beta!

    Wow this is awesome news!
