I’m not sure when this happened, because I can still post new messages and they update on the main page. But I cannot get to any of my non-home pages. I get an internal error 500. I am using permalinks, I have a feeling it could be security on a file or folder but I don’t see any difference than my other wordpress site that is working.
My site is http://www.benway.net its installed in the root of my server account.

The error log doesn’t seem to point me in any direction.

    Thank you for your help.

  • did you update your .htaccess? Sometimes wordpress can’t update it.

I deleted my .htaccess file and let wordpress recreate it. But that didn’t help 🙁

    A) Have pretty permalinks ever worked for the blog in question?

A.1) If Yes, what changed since they worked? New plugin? Upgraded WP? Upgraded host?

    B) If you change Permalinks to default, does navigation work as expected?

    A) yes permalinks have worked since I moved this blog to wordpress more than 8 months ago

    B) I upgraded to the latest WP version and I think updated a few plugin around the same time.

    C) even if I change it to the defaults I still get the Error 500

HandySolo, I started disabling plugins I know I updated recently and it looks like it was HeadSpace2 that was the problem. Once I disabled it, the site started working again.
Thanks for the help and direction
