Running the installer, I receive a 500 error. Checking the installer log, everything is fine, last line is “EXTRACTING”, and files are being unpacked in the webroot. There is a subdirectory created for the actual package, and it seems a second subdirectory named “_MACOSX” (yes, I downloaded the original package onto a mac, but re-archived into a zip and uploaded to webroot).

Any suggestions? Should I manually un-archive?

  • Looks like you ran into a timeout issue. There are some hints on the FAQ for logs that don’t complete. On Step 1 of the installer there is a checkbox under advanced options for ‘Manual Extraction’

    Hope that helps!

Got past that, getting to the success page, but not everything got moved to web root. In installer log, I see following errors:

ERROR: Unable to read from the extracted database.sql file .
Validate the permissions and/or group-owner rights on directory ‘(my_home_directorypath)’

ERROR: Unable to create new sql file installer-data.sql.
Validate the permissions and/or group-owner rights on directory ‘my_home_directorypath’ and file ‘installer-data.sql’

What should permissions be on this file? If I look at the file, there is content in it.

I got this to work with a “manual extraction”. Once I did that, re-ran installer, it went perfectly. Thanks!

    Excellent! Thanks for the update.
